The middle note of the creation contains floral accords that are given an exciting aromatic accent by rosemary. The base combines ambergris with sandalwood, which has a warm and calming effect. A touch of fine vanilla rounds off the refreshing bouquet. Alvise Gritti founded his perfume house in the middle of the 16th century. The Venetian, who came from a wealthy Doge family, had a wide range of interests: He travelled the world, was interested in alchemy and had a penchant for beautiful fragrances. As Venice was a port of call for ships and travellers from all over the world, Alvise had access to the most precious and noble raw materials - from which he created enticing fragrance compositions that skilfully reflected the exuberant life and sensuality of the time.
